Recap: Tampa Bay Bridal Show

Holy bridal show! What a whirlwind of excited and beautiful brides {and handsome grooms} walking the aisles of the expansive Coliseum in St. Petersburg today! The Tampa Bay Bridal Show was such a hit and I am over the moon to have been able to showcase my work alongside my good friend and photographer Jessica of Forever Treasured Photography. From Harry Potter, to Star Wars, to the Little Mermaid - there were some creative minds in the Coliseum!

Y’all, the girl gangs I saw in there were a-maz-ing! From their coordinated outfits to taking control of filling out the information forms, these girls were on point - #yougogirls. Now don’t get me started on the level of creativity these brides and bridesmaids had when it came to their vision of invitation suites! One bride is having a Harry Potter themed wedding and I would be absolutely thrilled to work my magic on a custom invitation suite for her! {see what I did there?} Another bride, who is a fellow red head and name’s Arielle, expressed how she was searching high and low for the perfect Little Mermaid castle to have on her invitations… creating that suite would mean the world to me!! One couple wanted to include hints of Star Wars into their wedding day because they’re getting married on May 4th - so clever! Two more brides were really intrigued by clear acrylic and were having their invitations on that, and wanted some hand addressed envelopes to go with them. I was just LOVING the creative energy flowing through all of these brides!

Now, I have to give a big shoutout and THANK YOU to my wonderful husband, Nick, and my parents for all of their help today and this weekend! My dad and husband helped me cut wood, solder the copper piping into the awesome sign you see below, drill holes into the acrylic sheet that’s hanging from the fine copper frame, and help set up the booth - complete with "love" balloon. My mom helped me stuff bags with my business card and grab me some goodies and sweet treats while I was working the booth. I’m so grateful for each of them and I couldn’t have done it without them!!!

Today reaffirmed what I love to do - make couples’ wedding days the literal best. day. ever. I love to create completely custom, one-of-a-kind pieces that express the love they share and want to evoke in their invitations and signage. There’s no idea or detail too big or small for this #coppertop - I can’t wait to get to work!

Cheers! Christie
